5 – Magic 2000: working in London and Sydney Olympics

2000 has been a magic year, no doubts one of the three best in my life so far, because not only I moved abroad for the first time, I reached the peak of my career as a sport journalist in one of the best place in the world: Sydney during the Olympic Games.

In early February, answering a job announce where they were looking for freelance to cover week-end games, I have been offered to take part in a start-up in London, leaving immediately. They were the golden times of internet bubble and even if I was enjoying my job at Fantacalcio.it, that was an offer I couldn’t refuse.

5 – Magico 2000: lavorare a Londra e le Olimpiadi di Sydney

Il 2000 è stato un anno magico, sicuramente tra i 3 più belli che ho passato finora, perchè per la prima volta ho vissuto all’estero e perchè ho raggiunto l’apice della mia carriera professionale in uno dei posti più belli al mondo: Sydney durante le Olimpiadi.

I primi di febbraio, rispondendo a un annuncio in cui cercavano collaboratori per le partite di calcio nel fine settimana, mi sono visto offrire di partecipare a uno start up a Londra con partenza immediata. Erano i tempi d’oro della bolla di internet e anche se mi trovavo bene a lavorare a Fantacalcio.it, era un’offerta che non potevo rifiutare.
